Outreach Meeting - This Tuesday, November 11th at 7pm. Please plan to attend this important meeting.
Small Group Bible Study - Small group in-home studies are a new initiative at St. Mark’s. We will soon organize small study groups that will meet on a regular basis in members’ homes. Each group will commit to a 6 - 8 week study of a faith-related book, a book of the Bible, or a theme. Following the first study, groups may select another topic to explore together. If you are interested in participating, please sign up on the sign up sheets posted in the Parish Hall, or contact Mary Kendrick at marykkendrick@yahoo.com or 704-503-4797.
Newcomer Breakfast - Join us next Sunday, Nov. 16th at 9:30 for a parish wide celebration as we welcome our newest members and graduates of the newcomer series. Please bring a breakfast dish to share and show the new folks our St. Mark’s hospitality.
Stewardship Update - Stewardship reports a total of 73 pledges thus far totaling $146,990.00.
2nd Annual Christmas Wreath & Tree Sale - Sales start today. Proceeds go to Costa Rica Outreach Mission.
Costa Rica Mission Trip - Anyone who believes they may be interested in participating in our next Costa Rica Mission Trip may attend a round table discussion today or next Sunday, November 16th following the 10:30 service.
W.I.N.E. - will meet on November 17th at the home of Dawn Middleton at 6:30pm.
Calling all Youth - We will be baking pies on Saturday, November 22nd from 10 - 4pm. Meet in the Parish Hall and bring $5 for lunch.
Bible 101! - Is a 6 to 8 week class to be offered either during the 9:30 hour on Sunday mornings beginning December 14th OR as a Wednesday night series offered at 6:30 beginning on Dec. 17th. This will be a quick overview of the Bible: who wrote it, when, why, who was the immediate audience, what was the context, how we make meaning of it today, where we find what, and how can interpretations change. Questions welcomed. Reverend Sarah Hollar will lead the class. Following this class, the group may select a particular book in the Bible to study in depth. If you are interested in participating in Bible 101, please sign up on the sign up sheets posted in the Parish Hall, or contact Mary Kendrick at marykkendrick@yahoo.com or -503-4797.
