January’s W.I.N.E Dinner - Will be held at 6:30 on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Dave & Buster's, located in Concord Mills Mall. Bowling will be available to those who would like to participate, and there are plenty of tables close by for those who just want to mingle. Please look for more details in upcoming bulletins and evite invitations or call Suzanne Ferguson at 704-594-9926.
Epiphany Event - The Epiphany Pageant presented by our young members is this Tuesday, January 6th @ 6:00 p.m. in the church followed by the traditional burning of the greens.
4th Annual Chili Cook Off - Will be held immediately after the Epiphany Pageant this Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Please have your award winning chili in the kitchen and ready to be judged by 6:30pm. Categories of Best Overall, Family Favorite and Outside the Bean will once again be judged. Contact Sally Johnson for more information.
Pledge Envelopes - To all that turned in a pledge card, please pick up the box of envelopes with your name on it. Boxes are located at the back of the church. If you have not turned in a pledge card, you can still do so. If you have not turned in a pledge card, but would still like to have envelopes, please call the church office.
Outreach Committee - Will not meet in January but will meet Tuesday, February 10th at 7pm.
B.E.E.R. will meet Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 6:30pm at the Cafe Mimi's On Harris Blvd across from North Lake Mall. Cafe Mimi's does not have a stellar beer selection, but it’s adequate. The main advantages are that it's quieter and the food is both good and reasonably priced. Please come - bring a friend and RSVP by emailing ewatson25@carolina.rr.com.
