Saint Marks Episcopal Church was one of five groups at Heifer Ranch for July 23-28, 2006. The group arrived on Sunday night and began their stay by learning what the week would entail and meeting their fellow Summer Action participants who had journeyed from TN and TX. Together these groups participated in activities that taught them more about world hunger, Heifer International’s mission and perhaps most importantly about themselves. They learned about their role as global citizens and about how their choices affect the lives of others. They are a part of a global community and they have the power to make decisions to improve the lives of others. They learned that there is hope and they can help.
